Why Brazil?

 

One of the 10 largest economies in the world, with stable economic growth, a growing domestic market, and abundant natural resources, Brazil is one of the main destinations for investments in the world.

  • The country's GDP grew 0.9% in 2012 and the perspective for 2013 is 3,0%, according to IMF;
  • Considered the 7th largest economy in the world, it should become the 5th by 2025, overtaking the GDPs of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom;
  • Its' international reserves reached a historical level at US$ 378.61 billion, 7.56% larger than in 2011;
  • According to a study prepared by A.T. Kearney, Brazil is considered to be the best emerging country for the retail industry, with an ample and growing consumer market;
  • Brazilian investment funds ended 2012 with R$ 97.6 billion AUM; the third largest registered.
  • In 2012, Brazil attracted US$65.3 billion in foreign direct investment, representing 28% of total FDI in Latin America.
  • The energy matrix is balanced, and approximately 44% percent of it comes from renewable sources.
  • Since the beginning of Dilma Rousseff's term, 22 million Brazilians have escaped from extreme poverty, mainly due to “Brazil Without Poverty Plan” (Plano Brasil Sem Miséria), released in 2011.
